Cycling Tour from Cochin to Alleppey

Introduction: If you enjoy cycling, then one of the best ways to experience the beauty of coastal Kerala is on a leisurely bicycle trip from Cochin to Alleppey. The landscape is picturesque, with serene backwaters, small beaches, villages and farms.

Tour Description: This is a 4-hour cycling tour from Fort Kochi to Alleppey, with a few stops along the way for photography and refreshments. The tour will begin early in the morning from your hotel (preferably at 7 a.m.). Please ask your hotel to provide a packed breakfast.

Cycling along the scenic Kerala coastline, you will see fishermen bringing in the fresh morning catch. If you wish, you can stop and learn more about fishing and prawn farming, or about their daily lives. You will also see quaint beaches of white sand along the coast. Along the way, there are local churches, temples, coir processing plants and toddy bars.

We will cycle one way, from Cochin to Alleppey. It will take approximately 3-4 hours, with a small break for refreshing coconut water on the way.

At Alleppey, you can have relaxed lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, we will load the cycles in our vehicle and drive back to Cochin.

Optional Extension: If you do not wish to return to Cochin, we can drop you at a resort in Alleppey/Kumarakom. Or, you can even extend this tour further with a relaxing houseboat cruise with lunch served on deck. Please ask us for more details if interested.

Cost: The pricing depends on the number of people doing the cycling trip. Please write to us to enquire. The price usually includes hybrid bicycles with helmets, refreshments, a knowledgeable guide well-versed in English, backup vehicle and first aid kit. There are no restrictions on the minimum number of people. We can accommodate solo travellers, couples, families, or large groups.
